TMA.DK - SQL Server tool, for Microsoft SQL/MSDE Server (Free)
With TMA.DK's SQL Server tool you can

  • Create blank databases
  • Restore a database from a backup file
  • Backup an existing database to file
  • Synchronize two databases table and field structure (No need for SQL scripts)
  • Execute SQL script files
  • No need to install Client Tools
  • MSDE compatible

    • Primary uses
    - This tool is primarily build for SQL server administrators and support personnel.
    - Upgrade current database designs, based upon another database (See: Synchronization)

    Synchronization
    This is by far the most advanced feature in this product.
    The following objects are replicated from the source database to the destination database:
  • Tables
  • Fields (All fieldtypes are supported)
  • Primary keys
  • NOT NULL/NULL properties
  • Default values
  • Autoencrement property(Ident)


    Notes on Synchronization
  • Stored procedures, user security and Views are not synchronized.
  • Fields which already exist in the destination database are not altered, even if fieldtype differ from the source.
  • Optionally: a comprehensive logfile is created where all information on created tables, Fields and errors are logged.
  • Optionally: you can "simulate" a synchronization and save the output as a SQL Script file for later use, or batch updates.
