Thomas Tingsted Mathiesen Battlefield 2, bf2:// links

Follow this guide and enable the BF2:// links that most BF2 stat sites use, and open your Battlefield 2 directly to the server and map where your friends are playing!

1) Install the following MSI package (Battlefield 2 Protocol) Download BF2protocol.msi
Remember to install directly in your Battlefield2 program folder

2) Open your Battlefield2 program folder and execute the program bf2protocol.exe
   

3) Edit your startup parameters, insert your Battlefield2 username and password, and Widescreen options if they apply to you.
My configuration is as follows:
+menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024 +playerName Mathiesen_DK +playerPassword secret

REMEMBER that all startup parameters and values are case sensitive!

4)  Create a profile on www.bf2tracker.com if you don't already have one.
Click the "Buddies" button on the main menu, and get a list of connected friends


5)  Click on the IP address of the server and then hit the Join Server button


You cannot use this if Battlefield 2 is already running, close Battlefield2 and hit the link.
